AED Installation Requirements in Cyprus

In Cyprus, the installation and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) is regulated by Law 110(I)/2008.

According to the law, AED installation is required in specific public and private locations, including airports, ports, organized sports facilities, hotels, central bus stations, public swimming pools, banks, and places where immediate access to medical assistance may be difficult, such as aircraft and ships.

The law also requires every public service, organization, or private business where more than 500 persons are employed or circulate per day to install an AED on its premises.

Factories are not listed as a separate mandatory category. However, a factory or industrial facility may fall under the AED installation requirement if more than 500 persons are employed or circulate through the premises per day.
